Fire testing of thin flush end-plates

I am pleased to share my research published in the Journal of Structural Fire Engineering, focusing on the behavior of thin flush end-plate connections in 3D bare steel frames under fire conditions. This experimental study involved developing a novel semi-open furnace, facilitating the use of image processing to measure frame deformation under fire loading, and analyzing the data to assess flush end-plate connection behavior at elevated temperatures.

The paper is available at https://doi.org/10.1108/JSFE-08-2021-0050. I welcome discussions and feedback on this research. Additionally, the data from this study is available for those interested. There is a sped-up video of this test that shows the development of middle span deflection as the temperature rises.
